James Lamontagne is an illustrator based in Providence, RI, and is graduate of Rhode Island School of Design's illustration department. He was born and raised deep in the woods of Vermont. After spending his youth playing make believe barefoot in the forest James' work is heavily inspired by the whimsy of the outdoors and creatures that come from it. James loves his dogs, the color green, and his ever-growing collection of clown dolls. His propensity for the stage and telling jokes with his friends entertains him, but only illustration fills the ravenous hunger that is his love of storytelling.

James feels passionate about sequential storytelling like picture books and graphic novels. He is currently seeking representation.
